How is everyone doing? I hope everyone has been well. I’ve been taking a break from my blog, not because I don’t love you guys, but because my beloved uncle Rafiq Khanzada passed away in Pakistan, and out of respect for him and my family, I thought I’d take a bit of a break from the blog and social media. If you guys could keep him in your prayers, that would be much appreciated!
But today I am back with a delicious and cute way to eat fruit. In jelly! Vegetarian jelly. Is it possible? Has vegetarian jelly been here this whole time and we haven’t known about it? It has! And it’s actually Japanese!
Agar agar is a natural vegetable pectin that comes from a type of seaweed that the Japanese have been able to single out, and when diluted in water, it sets up as jelly in hours, not days! It’s perfect for quick desserts and super easy to make.
Let me show you how it’s done.
First, you’ll need your ingredients. I purchased this agar agar from Whole Foods, but it can also be found online. You can put anything that you want into the jelly, I picked up this mixed fruit can that we all knew as kids because it was the easy choice.
Let me know what other recipes you guys want to see!
